The Squad Leader does not have to be online in order to do this. Once you're in a Squad, you'll have the option to join your Squad's session upon logging in. Squads are Monster Hunter World's answer to traditional MMO guilds, and they're easy to get up and running. This method is ideal if you want to play with people without having to add them as a friend on your PSN or XBL list. Find this Online Session ID by heading to the menu and pressing Triangle/Y. You can also share a string of digits for people to enter in order to join your session without needing an invite. If you're in a private session, this will not work.Ģ.
If you've logged onto a public online session, your friends will be able to see that you're playing Monster Hunter World and join from the main menu screen of the PS4 or XB1. Your friend will receive a notification, which they can accept, prompting them to log in, putting them into your session. You'll be able to invite anyone on your PSN or XBL friends list.
